Celebrate Mister Rogers' incredible legacy with your neighbors!
Please join us for a screening of Won't You Be My Neighbor? on Tuesday, February 12, at 6:00 p.m.!
Lake Forest Country Day School is pleased to host a screening of the recent and critically acclaimed documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor?, about the life and career of Fred Rogers, creator and host of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."

The movie will be shown in the newly renovated Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 12, at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Mr. Rogers influenced generations of children, and this is a truly remarkable documentary that all parents and educators are likely to enjoy and learn from.

Although this film focuses on Mr. Rogers and his show, which was certainly designed for kids, the documentary itself is oriented more for adults and does include material that many parents might deem inappropriate for younger children. Common Sense Media rates the film as appropriate for children ages 10 and up, while the Motion Picture Association of America gave the film a PG-13 rating primarily for reasons of some inappropriate language (not spoken by Mr. Rogers, of course!) and images of tragic events that were addressed by the show (e.g., the assassination of Bobby Kennedy, the explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger, and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001).

We hope you will join us for this educational and inspiring film. At the same time, we thought it prudent to make sure you were aware of some of the content concerns before deciding whether to bring your children to the screening.
