The Time is Now!
The Campaign for Lake Forest Country Day School

The Time is Now! is a $12 million capital campaign to seek unrestricted contributions to increase the School’s endowment. Backed by our long history of sound financial management, the prudent investment of these endowment funds will yield enhanced income to repay the low-rate, tax-exempt bonds LFCDS has issued.

"Our goal is to provide the best possible environment for the outstanding teaching that happens every day at LFCDS," says Head of School Michael Robinson. "Studies have shown that great spaces enhance and support each student’s learning experience. The new facilities will provide the best possible surroundings for the finest educational practices. Additionally, there will be community areas for the activities that are so much a part of life at this School."

Preserving the Past …. Building the Future

Following four years of thoughtful planning by faculty, parents, trustees, alumni and alumni parents, Lake Forest Country Day School is constructing a state of the art facility to support the outstanding teaching and educational excellence offered by its dedicated faculty.

New construction and renovation will combine to create a school that preserves past traditions while building the future. Perhaps the most dramatic aspect of the Master Plan is how much of what is familiar that will remain. For example, the view of the School from Green Bay Road will be virtually unchanged; the link to our long history that these facades embody will be maintained.

The entire structure has a traditional, Georgian appearance. Behind the walls, however, a dramatic transformation is occurring. Scheduled for completion by September 2006, this combination of new construction and renovation of existing spaces will provide the best facilities for learning and will strengthen the powerful sense of community that is so much a part of Lake Forest Country Day School.

The Time is Now! for all in the LFCDS community – alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, former trustees, faculty and staff, former faculty and staff – everyone associated with this wonderful School to contribute and help reach the goal of $12 million!

P.S. Please remember that, in addition to your campaign gift, your gift to the Annual Giving Fund is needed each and every year to bridge the gap between tuition and operating expenses.
