New LFCDS families are welcomed with open arms and a full calendar of activities. Opportunities are available year-round for parents to be involved in events that enhance their child's experience. The Parent Association brings together parents, teachers, faculty, staff and administration to foster a spirit of inclusion, partnership, community and cooperation. This LFCDS Association promotes parent education, facilitates communication, coordinates volunteerism and encourages school spirit.

We recognize and encourage the important work parents do in teaching life lessons and creating learning opportunities. Parents will work with us as partners to help each child reach his or her full potential.

Parents touch the LFCDS community in many ways. They share ideas and challenges--and celebrate breakthroughs--with teachers. Families attend school-wide events such as athletic competitions and performances. Parents forge lasting friendships with other parents, serve on committees and participate in our Community Service Program. These activities and others all reinforce the value of community life.
