The Preschool Program

There are “every day” decisions.

And decisions that could affect her
every day for the rest of her life.

Your child’ Preschool years, ages three to five, may be his or her most important. In fact, research show that high quality preschool experiences improve later academic and social achievement.

One of the most important decisions you’ll ever make begins with the Preschool Program at Lake Forest Country Day School. The Preschool Program is an extraordinary early childhood program that’s second to none in the Chicago area. Our Master’s level teachers provide a researched-based, developmentally appropriate learning environment. In addition, parent participation is welcome and our program is competitively priced.

Our inspired teachers create a safe, nurturing environment where students develop at their own pace. Individual attention to the whole child promotes discovery, emotional growth and love of learning. Each classroom is staffed with two Master’s level teachers who bring a wealth of experience in language development and early childhood education.

Our research-based curriculum is designed to encourage exploration and provide a myriad of opportunities for language development. Even our youngest students enjoy a holistic integration of language arts, math, science, conversational Spanish, PE and music.

The Preschool Program is a half-day program with a morning and afternoon session. The morning program is from 8:15 a.m.–11:00 a.m. and the afternoon session is from 12:30 p.m.– 3:15 pm. Children must be three years old by September 1 to be eligible for admission.
