The LFCDS Upper School Community Service program is a reflection of the School’s mission-driven commitment to responsible citizenship and its dedication to producing students of strong character. The Community Service program affords students an opportunity to respond to and learn from others by providing service to those in need in the broader community. The program provides students with a wide variety of service environments from which to choose and encourages family participation in student service projects. Emphasis is placed on the development of an independent desire to serve others as part of the school’s goal to cultivate well-rounded students. The program provides a wealth of possibilities for Upper School student character development.
