Lake Forest Country Day School (LFCDS) seeks an experienced part-time school social worker starting August 2019. The Associate School Social Worker will report to our Lead School Social Worker and work primarily with our students in early childhood through Grade 4. This individual should be passionate about advocating for and supporting students, skilled in nurturing relationships, and knowledgeable about the developmental needs of children. The individual should be an outstanding communicator and should have a strong background in the clinical skills needed to provide social and emotional education and to support students, faculty, and families.
Lake Forest Country Day School is seeking a Middle School Director of Bands and music educator for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. The band program begins as a general music class for all fifth-grade students, while sixth- through eighth-grade students may choose to participate in the Concert and Symphonic bands. These rehearsals occur before School and small group lessons/sectionals take place throughout the school day. The Director of Bands collaborates with two other music teachers in the school to provide our students with an integrated music education that focuses on music literacy, listening and analysis, and performance. In addition, the Director of Bands works closely with a vibrant Fine Arts Department to achieve the common goal of artistic literacy for all of our students.
Lake Forest Country Day School (LFCDS) seeks a School Librarian starting in the 2019-2020 academic year. The School Librarian manages a beautiful library in the heart of the School containing approximately 17,000 volumes. The Talbot deButts Cain Library serves students from Senior Kindergarten through Grade 8, and the Librarian is a key leader in fostering and sustaining a strong culture of reading among members of our school community.
LFCDS welcomes resumes from individuals interested in substitute teaching in our Early Chlldhood Development (Preschool, Junior, and Senior Kindergarten), Lower (1–4), and Upper (5–8) Schools during the current academic year.
