Through HandCut Foods, LFCDS offers a hot lunch served family style. Daily menus are balanced and kid-friendly updates of traditional favorites along with healthy new items designed to entice children to try something new. In addition, LFCDS offers a fresh salad bar with vegetables, toppings, and organic dressings, a sandwich bar, and a different soup each day to warm students’ bellies when the weather turns cooler. LFCDS and HandCut Foods believe that local, sustainable, organic food is better tasting, better for you, and better for the environment. We use fresh products that are unprocessed, antibiotic free, humanely raised and handled, non-irradiated, and hormone free.
Is the lunchroom nut free?
Yes. All lunches and snacks are nut free. HandCut Foods is committed to maintaining the LFCDS kitchen as a nut-free environment.
What if my child has allergies?
LFCDS and HandCut Foods provide individualized meals for children with specific allergies. There are gluten-free options available at each lunch, and 99 percent of the hot lunch offerings are egg free. A vegetarian option is available each day.
