Exceptionally bright students with advanced development in areas such as language, reading, mathematical thinking, or analytical skills need to be challenged in order to reach their full potential. This session will help parents understand how early childhood educators challenge advanced students in early childhood settings. Ms. Gadzikowski will present three core strategies (differentiation, conversation, and connection) and describe ways parents can support their children’s school experience.

Ms. Gadzikowski is the Early Childhood Coordinator for the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University and oversees the popular summer Leapfrog program at six locations throughout the Chicago area. She is also the author of Challenging Exceptionally Bright Children in Early Childhood Classrooms (Redleaf Press, 2013) as well as classroom readers, textbooks, teacher guides, and articles.
