University Lab School of Chicago senior and professional wonder-kid Rahul Mehta (LFCDS ’10) recently committed to Princeton University and was nominated as a finalist for the Intel Science Talent Search Contest.

WBBM News Radio interviewed Rahul for this prestigious honor (1 of 40 nominated), during which he mentioned he will be concentrating on math and computer science at Princeton.

Currently, Rahul is working with his advisor on a new project involving “linear algebra…and electron flows.” After his collaboration, he is anticipating that he will submit a joint paper for publication.

Last summer, Rahul submitted a paper to Intel, which is still reviewing his paper and may publish it to the Journal of Graph Algorithms and Applications based out of Brown University.

Oh, and one more thing. He is also currently working with Walter Isaacson (author of Steve Jobs’ biography) doing research for his new book on the beginnings of the computer.

Congrats to Rahul on his academic success!
