Falling for the Fugitive
For the second time this year, Grade 8 Music & Drama students collaborated on an original musical inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.
Following a semester studying Romeo & Juliet, 8th-grade students were tasked with developing their own interpretation of the story. Under the direction of Music teacher Justin Nixon and Drama teacher Chelsea Taylor, students had the opportunity to pilot a twist on the traditional 8th-grade Shakespearean production. Accompanied by a pit of faculty musicians and responsible for multiple special effects scenes, it's safe to say our students and staff have started a new tradition in the LFCDS Upper School.
